Has anyone ever used newborn baby sounds? I have a friend that has been recording his 3 day old son crying and screaming and all I can think about is getting that installed on my foxpro!!

There was a guy on here from Idaho that did this a couple years ago and it worked. He said if his wife ever found out about she would kill him though.

The fear of predatory animals feeding on humans and our young is deeply ingrained.... As well as it should be;

Quote: In August, 1981, three-year old girl Kelly Keen was left by her mother, Cathy, to watch cartoons in the living room of the family's home in the Chevy Chase Canyon neighborhood of Glendale, California. Kelly left through the front door and stepped into the driveway where she encountered a coyote. The coyote took the child in its mouth and ran off, dragging her through the street. Kelly's father, Robert, came running quickly, chased the coyote off, and rushed Kelly to the Glendale Adventist Hospital, where she was in surgery for four hours before she died.The cause of death was a broken neck and blood loss as a direct result of the coyote attack.

Ps... This vid is a hoax... But a well played hoax...

Never tried it on coyotes but it works on deer. My wife parked the jeep by her stand with my son in his walker in back. I could hear him screaming like he was being killed. I saw the does go by watching in her direction and she shot about ten minutes later. If I had thought about predator hunting back then I would have been set. Put him in the walker to turn him on take him out for off and no batteries or remote plenty of motion. Come on grandkids.

Couple of years ago now, but the cats had a rabbit and were toying with it. I was in the house and it sounded just like a baby crying. Went outside and discovered it was a rabbit. That's why distress calls work. Most things screaming for their lives sound pretty similar.

I have it on my Fox Pro but forget to use it. I have seen the argument that it teaches coyotes to go after children. The way I see it is 2 things may happen.

One, the coyote comes in and is killed. That coyote will not attack a child.

Two, The hunter misses the coyote therefore educating him that if he comes into the sound he will be shot at. That coyote is not going to come to the sound again.

There are those that will swear that we cause attacks because of using that sound. I do not agree with them at all. With all the attacks that are happening, I dont thing that they can connect one of them with a hunter using that sound.

This sounds like something you'd hear from a gaggle of old guys at the café coffee counter or in a gun shop (from a former Marine Scout Sniper who "did time in the sandbox").

There's a pretty complete list of attacks by coyotes on children available on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coyote_attacks_on_humans#On_children

If the naysayers want to try and draw a correlation between the use of infant distress sounds and a coyote attack on a child in Hollywood, Chicago, Universit of California at Riverside, or any of the other urban areas listed, they can waste their time.

When mama is not looking pinch the little one and hold the recorder on your phone about a foot away.

Just kidding about the pinch.

I used the converter to get this six minute file. So easy even I could do it!
Funny never thought I'd ever want to hear another baby cry,guess its all about perspective .....
