Nice color phase eastern coyote!

Well, Thanks for all the kind words! It was a nice coyote for here in Ohio. Very thick fur. I will tell you what I will do.......

I got an antler call tuned to cotton tail destress....I will give it away to who ever gets close.

The bottle in the back of the truck....well I cant tell you what it is! Ohio secret! (but I wouldnt drink it)

I did put him on the scales today and can say, I was shocked at what he weighted! I have a set of dig scales that go up to 100#. I even checked them to make sure thay were right when I got here at work. Take a look at the pic posted by jrbhunter and look at the size diffrence.

I will say this only one has gessed to high sofar!

I like the dark colors with the white faces. We have alot of color phase coyotes here, blond, red, white,black,black and white. And the normal color to, but these make great wall hangers. I got a black one running with a red color femal, I been after, but cant get in there and call till after deer season.

I find that interesting. Do you put up your furs? I did well selling mine last year, better than I have in several years. But some of my coyotes come from Ky to. I kill several every year that are off color. But most of them are normal and very well pelted and thick fur. Most are nice. The best way to sell the off color phase coyotes is to have them taned and sell them to people for wall hangs. You do alot better that way. If they are black, red, blond, or off color people like them better for wall hangs.

Well I will say that I estimated our coyote at 28 pounds before the scale showed him to be 42 so I am definatly not one to be asking about weight! LOL! The coyote in my picture is heavier than he looks in my opinion... he was very boxy and really solid instead of long and lanky like a lot of our dogs. Anyways, I'll take a stab and say that yote of your's goes 62 pounds. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

btw, need cat info, heading up there soon.Another intersting rumor is that two squirrel hunters have been attacked by groups of coyote's up there.

Attacked by coyotes! Cool! Maybe we can take care of them this year so they dont eat anyone! Looks like there is going to be a better turn out this year than ever before!

Well I will say this we have one gess that is very close! Just about 1/2 # off! Close so close!
