Night Hunting: Called in 4 Coyotes, One Stand!

Well, I called in four Coyotes on one stand, but I only shot one. It was crazy! Coyotes crisscrossing and running all over the place in the field in front of us.

The one I shot came in from behind us. He ran in through a gate five to ten yards to my right.

It took about 10 minutes before we saw action. In the video you can see three Coyotes running in the field coming to my call. There is one point where I swing my gun to the right and this is the Coyote coming in from behind us. He's soon standing out in the field looking back at us at 100 yards.

My first shot is a miss and Ol Wiley is off and running but not for long. My second shot connects and the death spin begins. I look around for the others and they are gone of course. So, I come back to the spinner and finish the job I started.

Here is the video

and picture of a BIG male coyote shot in the video.

Very nice, thanks for posting. Actually there isn't much way to adjust the changing contrast and brightness in this type of situation. Almost any time a thermal scope looks down the brightness dims. If one stays level all the time, it can be set, but when the scope transitions downward the brightness almost always darkens.

It's Radius Rangefinder and that blue light is the LED screen displaying a yardage reading.
