night hunting laws is West Virginia?

Hello,
Technically ,you are not allowed to use lights at night.I not saying it's alright to break the law but everything i've heard is ,it just depends on which DNR Officer cathes you as to whether you will get in trouble or not.Also,I have heard from someone who attends the DNR regulation meetings that we will be allowed to use spotlights to hunt predators in 2003(don't hold me to this, just check the regs. in 2003)

Hunting by moonlight may be all you ever get here in the east.It is an option you can live with. It is diferent than daylight calling and requires a bit more attention to set up.Also shotguns will need some type of tritium sight.If it's like Ky laws no visible lights are allowed.I'm assuming that means laser sights as well here.Scoped rifles are possible the night before, the night of and the night after the full moon.You have a seven or eight day window during this time with a shotgun. If your lucky enough to have snow cover I'm sure this time frame would be extended some.Jimmie
Busted 1 around 1:30 this morning, by the moonlight with a 3x9 set on 5x.
I killed another, but I don't think it counts, I used a 50 foot stripmine hi-wall!
For you flat landers, sometimes the coal companies stripmine an entire mountain and it ends up with tiers like a wedding cake.
I set up about 11:00 with the wind in my face and a highwall 30 feet behind me. You guessed it, yote got behind me and I realized it was there right before it winded me, as I cocked the rifle the dog jumped straight back, over the edge.
It sounded just like when we got busted dropping watermelons off the high school.
So, lets vote, do I score it or take a penalty shot?

Hillbilly, I lived in Marietta for 21 years, go hunting in Lowell every year for deer. Do you have an ohio license? If so you can use a light in Ohio... You could always hunt Wayne National Forrest towards Reno. My dad and I went calling one nite, and had a sherriff pull up behind us that my dad knew.. He said he was seeing and hearing alot near belpre.. I just do not know of any land that way...
