Night hunting with a partial moon

I'm no stranger to predator calling but I'm an old man now and not up on the latest and greatest methods and gear. Here in So Cal we are not allowed to use any form of night vision so it's my trusty hand held spotlight I have a foxpro fire eye and a coyote light. I don't get out like I use to but I have some time off from work and got to get out there. I will be leaving to hunt on Sunday the 28 when I'm done with all my Christmas commitments the moon will be half or better. I'll be hunting out of my rig that consist of my black Chevy truck black camper shell with a hatch (portable blind LOL) cut into the top of the camper this set up has been popular and used by the California predator clubs for several decades. I'm itching to get out there by my lonesome. So I'm open to any and all sugestions as far as methods, tricks, sounds, color of light red? amber? set up? In other words dealing with a partial moonlit night. Like they say, won't kill any from the couch. Thanks in advance.

When i used lights here in PA, red was king and white was a critter scare awayer. But the “Night Crew “ in TX kills lots with really bright white lights. Look them up as they hunt off of trucks also.

When I used lights, it was red. I have a pile of them lying around since going to NV, and then Thermal. To one up jmeddy, even red lights became a critter scare awayer here in my part of NY! It all comes down to the amount of pressure the coyotes are subjected to in your area. You won't know until you try. And your chances of success are zero if you're on your couch! Good luck to you, sir!
