You could be right about the ammo. Running low on plastic tipped ammo and was using CCI TNT's that Bass Pro had for sale the other night. It was all they had and they kept it behind the counter. They did let me buy 1 box. I chose a "big" box with 10 "little" boxes inside
I've never shot them before and it's got the biggest hollow points I've ever seen. Went to a local gun store and got a brick of Fiocchi hollow points. I think I'll try some of them.
They also had a Remington pump 223 with a 16" barrel that I bought. I takes an AR magazine. I'm going to try it with reduced loads that seem to be somewhere between a 22 magnum and a full blown 223 load. It's "butt" ugly but looks like it may have potential. You can mount the scope real close to the bore, so that should help. Gotta figure out how to put a rail on it.
