I have noticed were ever you look nightforce scope prices are the same, does nightforce regulate how much the retailers sell their scopes for? Is their going to be any sales on them ever? I currently have a vortex viper hst 4-16x44 and im not really that satisfied woth the glass when trying to shoot groups at a target. The glass seems milky on 16 and hard to get behind. So i was thinking of upgrading to a shv 5-20. What else would you guys recomend for a scope its going on my varmint rifle and will do some nite himting but mostly coyotes and prairie dogs alot in the summer.

Yes, many optic companies have what is called MAP pricing. (minimum advertised prices)
About the only time you will ever see discounted units is if they are demos, used, or discontinued.
However. I am a big advocate of dipping toes into the pre-owned market of high end optics.
My first 3 were all pre-owned NXS models with different reticles.
The best part about it is that good quality glass retains its resale value very well.
Example. I bought a used NXS for 1200 and sold it a year later for 1250. I consider that a huge win.

Yes MAP priceing,but if you call a dealer you may get a better price.

I've ran the NXS's for years, and currently own the 3.5-56, 5.5-22, 8-32 and 12-42 all with 56mm objectives and with the NP-R1 or R2 reticles, with MOA turrets, one of which is a HS, only one has been purchased BNIB... I like them, however in the past few years I've taken a "step up" to a more custom piece, the USO line... I'm glad I did.

I run a NF NXS 2.5-10x32 with ZS on a tikka t3. I'm not that impressed with it. The eyebox is very unforgiving to me. I much prefer my leupold mark 4 2.5-8x36. I don't know that I will buy another NF scope. Too much money, not enough value for me.
I bought the NXS 2.5-10x32 on EBay. I paid $1200 new. If you keep looking you can save some money if you give it time. If I had to complain about my 2.5-10 I would say the turret clicks could be more solid. Other than that I am happy. I own the 56mm NXS and very happy with that.
