I have a friend who wants to move up to a Swarovski and has offered to sell me his one year old Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14X40mm A.O. for $150.00. To those who might own one of these, what is your impression of these scopes?

a friend has a nikon titanium and loves it, he is fixin to buy that same scope you are being offered at a heckova good price. i would snatch that up/

I have the new one with the side focus and it is some of the best glass I have ever had. I can assure you the next scope I buy will also be a Nikon.

Hi Ducksoup if you dont want it. [I will buy it from you or him .] /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif For the money they have good glass in them. VM

I have a 4.5x14x40mm AO Nikon Buckmaster (not the newer side focus version) and just love it. I think for the money it is a heck of a scope, and at the price you listed it is a steal. I guess I wouldn't think twice about buying it.

I have a 5.5-16.5x44 Monarch UCC.It's a tough scope.A couple weeks ago I slipped pulling my case out of the truck and my rifle barrel slammed into the edge of the door.I thought for sure something busted on the scope or knocked it off zero. But the next stand I called in a redfox, and shot it facing me in the throat at around 135yds.The scope and rifle was still dead on.I killed another coyote the next weekend and it's still on.I'm happy with mine.

I've got the nikon 4.5-14 side AO MIL-DOT and it's a great scope. Sunday I finished shooting out to 500 yards, using the MIL-DOTS. The group at five hundred yards was 3" using the third DOT /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I've shot three coyotes at 375 using the DOTS and its GREAT. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gifGENE'O

I have a 6x18x40 and it is a very nice scope. I just got a 4.5x14x50 and it is sweeeeet. I am going to sell the 6x18x40 and get a second 4.5x14x50. $150 is a very good price.

Those scopes cause blindness Tom, do your friend a favor and buy the scope, for a measley fee of $150.00 I'll dispose of it for you. just think you'll only have $300.00 invested in saving your friends eyes.

We need to go hunting if the passes ever get opened.

All right already!! I bought it , I bought it!! Now which gun do I put it on?!?! It really is a nice scope and I can't, for the life of me, figure out why he wanted to get rid of it? Even if it's broken, (which it's not), Nikon has a lifetime warrentee to fix or replace it even if your not the original buyer. Can't beat that with a stick!! I stopped by Sportsmans Warehouse and they have the new side focus version for $279

So Carl, should this go on the Tikka or.......??
