Title says in all, which is the better scope for the money. There is about 100.00 diferrace but you get the 50mm bell with the more exspensive one. Both are Monarch scopes and will be going on my RRA 24in Varmint A4.

What do you think.

Thanks Angelo

Is the 50mm bell going to give any advantage over the 44mm bell for the extra $100? I think I would save the $100 and go with the 44mm.

I'm not sure what if any I will gain with the 50 mm bell, I guess I'm looking for anybody with these scopes and what they think of them

The only gain you have in a 50mm vs a 44mm is negligble at best in term of light gained, espcially when dealing in "Target Dot" scopes. IMHO, you gain nothing in Target shoot by going to 50mm. Even the pros who shoot seriously for competition stick to 44/45mm. SO like was said, save the $100 since you are dealing in Nikons.

Well if not 6-24X50 Monarch. What is the most/best scope for the money I can get I have a max price of about 650.00. I woud like magnification to 20X and would like side focus, Reliable adjustments, quality glass, fine X-Hair, or Target dot. What would you suggest?

Would love to know what will get me the most for my money.

I just thought that the Nikon covered everything I was looing for. This will be going on my RRA 24in Varmint A4.

Thanks

Angelo

Im not sure if the leupolds glass is better or not. I would go with the 50 If your hunting with it.I have a 44 on my 22-250 and a 50 on my dpms ar15.The 44 at last light you cant see the dot.The 50 is a little better.I bought a weaver from a guy on here that has the lighted dot i really like it.Im going to buy the leaupold vxr for the ar 10.Not sure if this helps since your asking about nikons. But I really like the targetdots.
