nikon monark 4 x16x42

my nikon monark 4x16 scope gives me a problem whenever the temp. goes below zero, the variable power turns so stiff it will hardy move, i hunt a lot with a buddy who has a cheap bushnell banner & his works just fine when cold, plus his is a little brighter at night, kinda disappointed in this scope, anybody else have this problem?

mine turns a lil hard. i love the optics [beeep]. i havent used it at night yet. i usually carry my 22-250 when calling. it has a bushnell elite 3200 which is real nice at night.

My buddie has the 5x20 monarch that gets stiff in the real fridgid temps.

I have a 4.5x16.5x44 nikon monarch it also is very hard to turn.

i sent mine in to nikon twice to get checked out & they said that is just the way it is, i told them i hunt sometimes when it is 15 to 20 below, the service rep kinda joked & said thats to cold to be out anyway, not very funny to me when i paid $400.00 for what i thought was a good scope, probably gonna try & sell it since i do most of my hunting in the winter.
