Does anyone know if there are target turrets available for the nikon buckmasters scope? I have a 4.5-14 I would like to find some for. Thanks

The description in their link says:

Laser marked aluminum knobs available for most target knob equipped riflescopes....

The 4.5-14 Buckmaster doesn't have "target knobs", so I would place a phone call to the company before I ordered them under the assumption that they would fit.

You might also contact Nikon.

Yes the turrets are 1/4 MOA that come on the Buckmaster with returnable zeros. Not sure what the others here are talking about.

Do you have a 4.5-14 Buckmaster with the turrets that you described? If so...I'd like to see it.

The turrets supplied with the 4.5-14 are not what is generally referred to as "target turrets".

Target turrets are usually considered to be very tall, and are removable so they can be zero calibrated.

The 6-18 model Buckmaster is supplied with the target turrets, but not the 4.5-14 model.

Here is a pic of the standard turret that is supplied on the 4.5-14 model. As you can see...they are NOT removable and can't be "zeroed"

Here is the 6-18 model. As can be seen, the turrets are much larger, and can be removed and turned to "zero" them.

All my turrets on my 4.5-14x40 buckmaster scopes are "zeroable", (is that a word?)

-you just unscrew the slotted screw that holds the turret on(enough to pull the turret up past the splines), pull the turret up & off the splines(screw doesn't have to be all the way out!), then line up the turret arrow @ the zero mark, push the turret back down and tighten the screw (doesn't have to be really tight, it can't go anywhere under the caps).

Well, mine are the older scopes, but the turrets on mine will not come off. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif If they've changed them, then that's a good thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif I stand corrected.

Hidalgo, it would seem that they have changed them as I have just bought 2 Nikon Buckmasters one in 4X14 and one in 6X18 they both came with target turrets. Not only that but they came with an extra set as well. Of course they are different shapes but there is another set none the less.

Higgy... those knobs DO come off - yours might be tight, because they sit on splines... stop chasing your wife and put some energy to it!
