No Mask

Lately I've been seeing a lot of video's of Predator hunting and on TV with the hunter not wearing a mask. Does everyone on here wear one? I do and just wondering. Also, do most of you during the winter skin and dry your hides when selling them?
 
I wear one, it was given to me, is it a must have to call a coyote no; but hey it keeps my face warm on a cold day. I don't skin my coyotes, I just collect a bounty.
 
I wear the mask every time I go out, keeps the bugs off you in the spring and fall and keeps the wind off you in the winter.

I hate wearing it cause my glasses fog up but im gettin LASIK in a couple weeks so that wont matter once it cools off and I get back to hunting.
 
Its not necessary....My cousin had one on but I didnt...Here is a good example....Enjoy!

I usually wear a mask when hunting during the day. Do you have to wear a mask? No, but ya sure do look a whole lot more serious when you do!

I usually wear a mask but it is usually mesh.I wear glasses and if I wore a full mask I surely wouldn`t see a thing.

Plus, without a mask, you don't look half as serious as I do!
 
We use a hat with a drop down mask. It is the same camo pattern as our clothes, so we tend to fade into the landscape. I just don't want to give them any advantage.

If the fur looks good we give ours to a taxidermist, so he can make a few bucks on mounts.
 
I almost always where a mask. The only time I don't is when it's a sunset/dusk stand and there is no chance for skin glare. Too much goes into a good stand to chance ruining it at the last second.

The reason you see no mask on some videos and TV shows, is probably because the host(s) want to show their face off.

As far as furs, I skin, dry, tan, and sell my own hides. I got tired of wasting so much fur to just rot away.

I'm no expert but I have all this stuff since I bowhunt so why not use it. As Tony said you put so much into getting to a stand why take a chance. That and I looked at that thread with all the photos on it. You guys are like me we should probably wear a mask all the time LOL. The country I hunt is usually brushy so they can get close before you see them. I guess that all has to be considered, coyotes are all over the country now and what some might get away with others wont. Also how heavy is the hunting/calling pressure in your area.
 
While not a must have, I definately feel it'll help out when you get 'em in really close. At ten yards your face will stick out pretty good so it won't hurt to slap one on. My cousin don't wear one and hardly wears camo pants. Usually it's jeans and a camo shirt and hat for him. I like to be invisible though.
 
Sometimes I wear mine and somtimes I dont it really just depends on how hot I am at that time. Ive killed them with or without as long as you sit still you'll be fine.
