Allow me to rephrase the question.

I have a 5 gal bucket of 223 brass. I do not know how many cases are in the bucket. Does anyone know from experience approximately how many cases would fill it level? I'm trying to get an approximation without counting. There will be no prize or reward for any answers at this time unfortunately. Currently accepting donations for prize money. Thanks!

If you weigh the full bucket and the empty bucket to get a weight of the brass I could give you a close figure. At home I have a list of how many cases to the pound for several calibers.

About 14 lbs for 1000 cases. Just take that bucket along with your Brownells the next time you have a pit stop. Don't forget the TARE weight.

Ya, if you know the weight of the brass you can look on a military site to tell you how many are in that weight.

If you don't want to do that, take a half gallon bucket or container of milk out and count how many it takes to fill that and multiply that by 10. (just add a zero to the end)

Thanks for the info guys. Reb I may pm you when I get a chance to weigh the brass and bucket. Appreciate all the responses! Good weekend to ya.
