Hey guys, im new here, Saturday was my very first coyote hunt. Im hunting on some friends land up in Oneonta Alabama,on Smith road, i went up on the mountain and went to where i wanted to sit,but once i got into the woods, about 40 feet in there was a barbed wire fence and I didnt want to cross it, so i found me a place to sit so i could see into the woods and watch the open field. started calling just after sun up, didnt see anything, i did hear somthing down in the holler moving around, but never seen what kind of critter it was. After a good while of sitting and calling i decided to go scout around, found me a much better place to sit next time, i sat down and started my rabbit distress calls and attracted the attention a a hawk. So on my way back to the truck,i was on the dirt road, and following right alonng with the hoof prints of the cows and calfs were some coyote tracks in the muddy sand,so i know they are up there, just gotta find'm
