Nosler 50gr BT

I use the 55gr model and it is 2nd to none in the accuracy department.

223REM. 26.7gr of W748/WSR and a Federal Case.

3125fps out of a 24 inch barrel.

Groups as tight as you can shoot them.

See that dead 705 yard prairie dog in my avatar? 50 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip from my .223 AI did him in. And three others that day over 680 yards as well. Was quite the memorable day to be sure.

I get along with them real well; my main coyote bullet in the winter time out of my AR. They can tear one up, but I have yet to find a bullet that doesn't occasionally. Not hard to get to shoot good, either. Biggest knock on them for me is they are more expensive than a lot of other bullets.

I’ve shot thousands from an ar and bolt gun. All loaded around 2.230” in lc brass a CCI 400 and 25.5 of h335. Use at your own risk.

They may not have the best BC but I've yet to have a Nosler BT that didn't shoot well in everything I've ever shot them in, and has already been mentioned, they are he11 on coyotes and definitely, NOT, fur friendly.

I would tend to disagree. They can make a mess just like most varmint bullets but for me, they have been incredibly fur friendly. Many many times i get a caliber size entrance and no exit. It really depends on shot placement and the velocity you run them at.

I've killed maybe a dozen or so coyotes with this bullet and it worked out great in my 223AI. I was wanting people with more experience with it giving their opinions. I've used the 55 Nosler more and it worked great too.

I shot the 50g Nosler at 4200 out of a 27" long Hart 14" twist barrel 22/250 AI. Groups were in the 1/4" area or smaller, three shot groups, Win 760 and Federal primers.

Coyotes died without suffering, real quick. No surface explosions.

We also shot several hundred with the 50g Sierra Spt, excellent accuracy as you would expect from Sierra with great results on coyotes.

If you want to see a real mess of a coyote, then try the 55g Sierra Blitz lead tip, amazing accuracy out of this bullet also. Rough barrels and 7" T twists may spin apart the lead tip blitz. 9T out of a 223 Ar would be a great platform for the 55g lead tip Blitz,26.0- 26.5g of Win 748.

I shoot the 50 gr in .223 for coyotes and marmots, also in the .22-250 for coyotes.
For the bulk of hits it is small entrance no exit and bang flop. often only see a little blood at entrance.
AccuTips are often more accurate but very messy.
I get good groups equally in both calibers with the Noslers and 8208 powder at good chrono readings.
I think they are a winner, just need to get them on sale.
