Goin to load me up some 22-250 bullets which will be mainly usin as my 2nd go to coyote gun and varmit gun. Will be shooting 55gr bullets and was wondering what you guys liked better outta the Nosler BT bullets and them Combined Technology Ballistic Silvertip bullets? In all my other guns I've always reloaded with Noslers but was kinda curious to how these Silvertip bullets shot?

Thanks,
Luke

i shoot the 55 gr. combined technology bullets out of my .243 and have had great success with them. Im shooting 1/2 inch groups at a 100 yards and best of all havnt lost a coyote yet.

I've been shootin the 55gr Nosler BT in .22-250 for 5 years and love it. Quentin Wagner who shoots regularly 200 yotes a year likes the bullet as a preferred coyote killer in 220 Swift. They can be a little brutal sometimes on angling shots and close shots.

Same bullet, different color plastic tip according to salesman @ Nosler Pro Shop when I ordered some .308 BT's so we substitued the ST's.

Reagards,
hm

I have got slightly better accuracy out of the Balistic Silvertip in 168 grain .308 bullets. They are about 20 fps slower than the Balistic Tip with the same powder charge.

I shoot the BST bullet in my .223, and it shoots great after the first few shots. Usually, the first group out of a clean barrel is 1 1/2 inches @ 100 yards. After the barrel gets fouled, however, the groups are normally 1/2 inch. Also, I dont have to clean the barrel as often. I usually clean after 100 rounds.

I shoot them in the 223 50 and 55 gr and i use the 95gr silver ballistic tips in the 243. All are the combined technology (lubalox) bullets. I have had exellent results with them in everything i have used them in. Except a 270 wsm and a 300wm. Great terminal performance. They will not copper foul near as bad as the reg ballistic tip bullet. Some rifles you have to foul the barrel after cleaning to get the groups back. My browning bar is one of them. My two coopers loves them with a clean barrel or 75 rds down the tube. In my opion i have used them for 5 plus years in the 22-250,223,243 in bolt guns, autos and single shots and think there one of the best bullets there is. Accurate and preform on animals when its needed. I use the factory winchester supreme ammo. Winchester came out with awhile back the supreme elite ammo. I picked up some of it and really like it so far. The 243 and bigger cals is what it comes in. It has a bonded bullet with controled expansion. Shoots exellent and i bet it will be heck of a bullet with it being bonded bullets.
