No. Think it was made in 2002 according to serial number.
The bipod prob was the bipod is pulling down on swivel stud and pushing up to "squeeze" the forend against the barel. It is not the weight of the gn causing the problem. My plan to alleviate this is to add a 3" rail onto the bottom of the stock and attach the bipod to it. Much like I have on my AR.
