Noxpix users in general--h50r specifically

I am thinking of getting an h50r and like all that I have read and watch on these units but am wondering if anyone on here that has run them for a while has had any issues. I understand if you don't want to put anything "out there" so a private message would be fine.
I have messed with the 60r and just can't justify the $ as I really didn't see that much difference in the image between it and my Rix st6 and my 75y/o eye needs 3x base mag.

I have no complaints, other than this is a heavy scope. It weighs 3 lbs, so it gets noticeable on long hikes. But it works fantastic from near to far with that ballistic drop system. The rangefinder works fantastic at night, not so great during the day on longer ranges but who cares.

At the newer reduced price it's a good buy. The included mount returns to zero perfectly, and the nocpix updates were worthwhile.
 
I run the S60R now coming from the N-Vision Halo xrf. Im very happy with the S60R and would buy it again.

For me I like the 2x base mag because it gives me a wide FOV and when I zoom in it doesn't seem to pixelate too bad. Plus the optical magnification feature is great. At first I thought it would be gimmick, but its not. Oh and I luv the fact that it uses an 18650 battery even though it drains kinda quickly in the cold temps, but in the field swap outs are easy peasy.

I bought the H50R, & I'm not all that impressed with the optical zoom. When I have the optical & digital both on 9X, the clarity looks about the same to me. With the crosshair getting bigger as you zoom optically, I'd rather use the digital zoom for the smaller reticle. Plus you can set it up to revert back to base mag on recoil.

I would agree with that. I might use the optical a little, but imo it's mainly one more thing you don't really need in the heat of the moment.

did not know about this "revert back to base mag" setting--sounds like a good idea for someone that doesn't use PIP.
