NRA optics/Brunton Echo/Pentax Gameseeker- 1 in the same?

I have been looking for a lower priced scope for my rem 700 .223. In looking I found a clearance deal ($35) on the NRA fast focus scopes by Brunton, the scope actually surprised me for the price, much better in the store than the $100 simmons, BSA, cabelas, tascos and bushnells I have looked through in my search. I really liked the reticule on the NRA scope too.

Anyway, as I have been looking around, these NRA branded scopes look identical, externally at least, to the Brunton Echo series and the Pentax Gameseekers. anyone know about the internals of these 3?

Anyone know the relationship between these 3 scope series?

Anyone have input on the NRA fast focus series by Brunton? I am looking at the 3.5-10x50 model.

I can tell you from experience that a pentax gameseeker is junk. A pile of brown leafs looked grey, from 3 power to 9 power the cross hair [raised or lowered] cant remember which, 11 in. at 100 yards, sent it back for the pioneer from pentax, sent it back too. ed

I agree with the externel looks. I believe your correct and probably from the same optics plant.

I did'nt have good luck with the Chinese built Pentax Gameseeker either. It was a straight 6x and the BDC reticle broke.

It was mounted on an AR15 maybe 30 rounds.

The Pentax Pioneer model made in the Phillipines is a good scope though. I have 2 of the 3-9's and alls well.

As far as I can tell, those are simply rebadged Burris Fullfield IIs. Incidentally, Pentax discontued them and replaced them with the Pioneer II (or something like that) made where. Ding, ding, ding you guessed it - China. If you find a Phillippino Pioneer now for a good price, buy it; they're not making any more.

DesertRam. You are correct sadly Pentax has killed the old Pioneer.

I went to there website and looked under SUPPORT. and found a faq. and it states THE Pioneer II rifle scopes are made in China
