NRA Varmint Hunter game

Anyone else play this game? And if so, do you know a good load for the 6.5-284 norma? How much jump or jam on bullet?

BTW, this is an excellent game. I got it to try it out, and am now addicted to it, since all we've had here is rain. Didn't think it was going to be as good as I thought, but I play it all the time, hehe.

got the game also(gift certificate)..I'm not a videogame person by far and would prefer to actually be outdoors doing something for real, but figured I would try it out.

I have a nice computer but it seems that my scope moves with a slight delay from my mouse and in the options windows there is a 2-3 second delay upon clicking anything. the actual shooting/reloading/animals work fine , but the delayed scope movement prevents smooth tracking of any target..is this normal or do any computer people know a fix?

Only Varmints are ground hogs, prairie dogs and a coyote here and there during a prairie dog hunt.

For those having probs have you tried going to the speedco shootings sports website and downloading the lastest update for the game? It may fix some probs.

I've had a good time playing, only problem is, I can't get the customs to shoot anything under 2 inches. Could be I'm just ignorant of how to work up loads, but I've given up on handloading in the game.

shaun748 what you describe sounds like it is either CPU or graphics related. If you say you have a decent computer (I define decent as less than a year old technology and CPU >3Ghz) then it is more than likely a processor problem. You could have to many processes running, a lot of spyware or even a virus. I would try turning off as many processes as you can and then giving it a shot. Also if you have no anti-virus or spyware protection then I highly recommend that you get some and run these atleast once a week.

HERE is a great free anti-virus software.
HEREand HERE are some great free spyware programs. Run both of them to keep everything nice and clean.
