My Lyman has worked fine, and yes, I do verify it with my old RCBS beam scale every now and again.

Its one of those deals though, if you don't trust it get rid of it, just don't make this a "Bashing Thread".

Every manufacturer has a problem now and then, get what you can out of them and move along with your life.

I'm very happy with mine too, wouldn't switch back if you paid me, it beats the heck out of using a beam scale IMO. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Ditto /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Im mutteling by just fine with my RCBS beam scale and a trickler /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif. I thought about the elec. scale several times but couldnt swallow the price tag. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Plus like Hidalgo said "If you need a scale to check another scale then whats the point?" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Guess I'm not in that much of a hurry either. I like my time spent reloading. Lets me drift away from the rest of the world for a while and concentrate on something meaningfull.

Hidalgo,

Think of all the powder and bullets you can buy when you return it and get your money back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Might have enough left over to top off the tanks on those dirt bikes too!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Oh Clayman, make no mistake, this ISN'T my life. Lot's more important stuff in my life than a stupid set of scales. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif It just chaps me that for the cost, you would think they could get it right. And as for the Customer Service returning my phone call... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif What's your problem with me asking questions and making observations on this issue? I haven't done anything except list the issues that I am having with this product, and ask for help from other members to see if they had had similar experiences. Sounds almost like you are taking this personally? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

But in order to put it to rest, I'm done with it. Live & Learn, I guess. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Dave: Have you been talking to my wife? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif She just said yesterday that we neded to get the bikes out and do some riding. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I had two problems with mine one is what you are experiencing I moved it to a more stable part of my bench and solved that one. the other was giving erratic readings which I found was due to the air ducts blowing in my basement once I figured it out I love mine.
