I was thinking about going to coshocton ohio and deer hunting there public land. i know a guy that went up there and seen alot of deer and had some luck. i was wondering if anyone has hunted around there and could give me an idea of where to go or anything. any info would help greatly thanks.

I used to hunt coshocton quite a bit on private land. PLace is full of deer. That being said gun season get pretty crazy, walk as far away from the road as possible.

Woodbury wildlife area is right outside of coshocton like 14000 acres. nice place to hunt, been down there rabbit hunting never for deer. Mostly reclaimed strip mine land lots of ponds and thickets. Check the odnr website and download and print out a map. It will give you an idea of size and probable areas to scout.

You also might check out tri valley wildlife area. So odnr wildlife page. Scroll down to hunting and wildlife veiwing areas it will take you to a state map find coshocton tri valley is to the south and Woodbury is to the west click on the little red dot and it will open up a printable map. Good luck in the upcoming season
