Ok Flextone ER1 guys, lets get some input.

I have been out with it once and everything worked great. Except the remote ran down quickly. I purchased an extra battery from Mark when I ordered the call from him. So I will test it again but bring the extra battery along after having charged it.

Call was clear on a really windy day. Main battery level stayed up. No yotes came in but I did get crows when I called them.

I got one for a friend and it works really good. The sounds are nice and clear. I would like it to get a little bit louder, basically because of the Kansas wind. Remote works real well. I like it better than the foxpro I had. The remote actually works when there is something between you and the call. If you could pick your sounds or change them yourself I would buy one for the price.

liked it so much i bought the mimic...

you will never find a better call for 45 dollars...it sounds almost as good as the echo....

and same thing built well..

as far as the echo...it covers about every type hunting in my neck of the woods...and all the different sounds are good sounds...not 2 second repetitions...so no need to change any sounds...

i sold my spitfire because i couldnt see the remote well...the echo remote is sweet and the calls are organized....

after using it...a good bit...and getting some kills....i would say it is far better than the spitfire...
and about all the caller a man would need...in the east...

8 comes with them....remote is a cell phone type battery think thats why it goes so far...

Got mine in today, and set it up. The sounds are nice and clear. Going out tomorrow and give it it's first test. It is cold, with alot of snow,so they they should come to the call well. Ron

Does anyone know if you can get the remote battery from walmart or someplace local. I know Mark has them I was just curious if anyone figured out what battery it is thats in the remote.

Didn't get to go out with the new call this week end! It's DEER Firearm SEASON again, and for the 4th time this year!

So no highpower rifles allowed in the field during this week end!

I'll have to give the call a try this comming week. Ron

Wallys dont carry them & no other place does for under $39. Mark has the best price for a ER1 remote spare, bar none.
I found one at the battery store....$40....nope aint spending that much on a battery.

Got to try mine out today on some private ground. The sounds were good, but the remote isn't what I expected? It will work 40yds. tops! I thought I heard they had better range than this? It will work ok though,as you really don't need it out that far. Ron PS. No dogs!

rks that is weird my remote has worked from 200 yards away line of sight and in the field 50 to 75 yards with no problem. I don't even put the antenna up.

Yeah,I'm gonna try some diffrent things, and see if it makes a diffrence? How long do you leave the caller on charge, after the first time charging it up? I may not have the batterys fully charged? I have a friend that picked up another Flextone Echo at Gander Mountain. It's called a ER2! It is camo, and has 75 calls, instead of 100 on it. (no deer sounds) Must have just came out? Ron

After reading the reviews on this site and a couple others I purchased one and it arrived today.

One of the earlier posts said all the calls are natural. I am far from an expert but have heard plenty of coyotes in the wild and to me the coyote calls do not sound natural. Also the coyote sounds don't seem as loud as some of the distress calls.

As far as volume goes I thought it would be louder. Besides my homemade snow goose callers (extremely loud) this is my first e-caller so I really have nothing to compare it to. I did have it on full volume in the house and it did not wake my 2 month old daughter. Sounds do seem very clear. I realize predators have much better ears so maybe its just my old ears.

It would be nice if the charger had an indicator light so you would know when it is fully charged or if it still is charging.

For some reason I received two Product Information Guides in my box and did not recieve a warranty registration card. I purchased mine from Cabelas so maybe it was a returned one but I believe it would have said bargain cave.

Any way the main reason why I purchased it was for bobcats and coons. Can't seem to get the woodpecker call down and the one on this e-caller sounds great. If need be I will continue to use mouth calls for the coyotes.

Hopefully the winds here in southeast WY will die down by next weekend for its first test.

Wind is blowing 15-20 mph today but I could the crow real well @ 150yds. All in all I'm very happy with it if it holds up.
Well, my batterys craped out already. Won't charge up past halfway. Wanted to hunt so I got some precharged recharhable Ray-o-vacs and put them in. $13 and change at Walmart. I like the caller but looks like the batterys should last longer than 3 charges.

I'm sure the battery's aren't the best in the world though! Most rechargables that come with products, are the cheapest they can find! Ron
