Old School Cool Spotting Scope

I don't often kick it, but when I do, I only kick it old school. OK, that's not true, but today it is!

While trolling the sporting section on Craigslist I clicked on a listing titled "telescope". It turned out to be a Redfield Regal IV spotting scope, hecho en Japan. It's in excellent shape and came with the 25X fixed eyepiece, 20X-60X eyepiece, carrying case, window mount, tripod, strap, cleaning fluid bottle and lens brush and paperwork. I picked it up for a very decent price and have an excellent new spotting scope.

Ya know, if I would have thought of that I could have used it as a justification for purchase to the wife. I'll have to keep that in mind for all future man-purchases: "But Honey, this rifle will absolutely complete the Feng Shui vibe of the room"!

I'll let you know how that works out for me....

Nothing wrong with Old Skol at all. Built like tanks, excellent glass. That RED on Redfield ought to get it done in spades for you. Nice find.

Mine is a 1951 Bauch & Lomb BALscope Sr 35X60, with a vintage B&L tripod bench to standing adjustable that would hold up a tank. Has served me for decades so well I've never wanted new fangled.
