Olympic Arms?????

Alright guys ive heard some bad things about olympic arms and i was hoping you guys who own one could tell me your opinions. Im still waiting on my UMAR 22-250 but ive heard people talk about how Olyarms are cheap ARs. If there is anybody on here from Oly Arms and could put there 2cents in i would appreciate it. For the rest of you please give your opinions.
 
My .02 - I've got one and wouldn't hesitate on getting another. I've also got one of their 1911's, I love it. I've only have their AR in a .223 but want a 22-250 bad. If your getting the feedback from AR15, IMHO take it with a grain of salt. Lifetime warranty, wait for it to show up and don't look back!

Look at the bottom of this thread... I did a 20 minute review on the UMAR... Should give u an idea if they are cheap or not...
 
My D-Tech is all Olympic ARms parts and it shoots as well as anything on the market.

Full lifetime warranty, too.

If they were junk, they would have gone out of business, one would think.
 
Olympic has been around a long time. I have had several and all were good. I love hearing people spout off on how a brand is junk because they heard it from a brother in law who heard it from someone else who has never owned one. Buy with confidence and enjoy a very cool rifle.
 
If your getting the feedback from AR15, IMHO take it with a grain of salt.

+1 I don't really care for ar15.com...seems like they are all sponsored by somebody and if you aren't shooting x,y,z then it's garbage. Definately watch the video review...that is someone with real world experience with the gun not somebody who has a buddy and this happened and this happened...etc.
 
I have one in 223 wssm and got it used. Previous owner said it didn't group well. Cleaned the barrel and am getting great groups at 100 yds. Shoots 64gr and 55gr factory loads equally well. The 8 rd magazine likes to hang up but got a new 4 rounder and its flawless. I'd love to have a umar so if u want to give up on it now send it my way lol
 
thanks guys!! good to hear. I watched the video and that thing had awesome groups. The navy seal shirt might have helped the dude shoot:) dont know. From what i seen [beeep] i cant wait to get mine. Thanks for the info and for the seal dude thanks for the video
 
I just got a 20" target match rifle, the M8. I haven't put many rounds through it bu I like how smooth it feels so far. Might put a RRNM trigger in it but I like it wo far.

I've owned & used an (Olympic 24" .243WSSM upper) for 8-9yrs now. I have no complaints. Other than the magazine that came with the upper. Which was junk IMO. I have this upper mounted on a Bushmaster .223 lower. Anyway, out of the box, this upper has grouped @ an inch or less @ 100yrds. Shooting prone with Factory Winchester 95gr SBT ammo. Best long range coyote thumper I ever used.

I have their K16-SST and love it. The trigger on mine was terrible, it felt like a 2 stage cause it would hang up. When my Timney trigger gets here later today, I'm sure I will love it more.
 
Hopefuly I will be buying another AR within the month and I will be going Oly all the way. I have a K-16 and a Oly 25WSSM made by DTECH that both shoot lights out with no problems whatsoever. I will be buying a Plinker Plus flat-top. Can't beat the price and the more I shopped around , the more I kept coming back to Oly. Love the Griffin, love me some Olympic Arms!!
