My 6 yr old 22 LR revolver (double action )must have a broken spring that resets the trigger forward after it is fired.I hope they don't take too long on this.It is supposed to be life time warranty . Anyone on here have any experience with Taurus customer service ?I really like this revolver and was surprised it malfunctioned .

When Taurus came out with their M44 about 25 years ago I bought one. Just a few months later I started having trouble cocking the hammer on it but it still worked fine shooting double action. Not wanting to mess with it I just sent it to Taurus. I never got it back. Instead they sent me a brand new one which I still own and shoot today. While some folks want to bash Taurus firearms (most never have owned one) all of mine are fine guns. I bought one for my dad which became my daughter's after he passed, my wife carries a Model 85, I have a Model 85 in my car, I have a 9mm slim in the top box of my Goldwing, and I have a Taurus .44 special in my bedroom. I like them and trust them and I would buy more if I needed a good solid not too expensive handgun.

I have sent several hand guns back to Taurus for customers, and they all took close to a month, they repaired and shipped all the ones I have sent in for free, call them to get a RA number and try talking them into sending you a prepaid label. I can only complain about one revolver I sent in, and it was brand new, when cocking the hammer back it would bind up, when I got it back it still was not fix plus it some scratches and some gouges in the metal, I called, told the whole story, guy said they would send a prepaid label and it would go in front of the review board, they issued a whole new gun and I never heard anymore about the gun that was sent in.

I ended up with a Taurus 1911, by accident. I don’t shoot it much, no issues. I decided if I ever need service I would try to get it fixed elsewhere. I think the safety on the 1911 is known to have potential problems. If mine acts up, I’ll go aftermarket.
