Opinions wanted on the Browning A bolt and the Tikka T3 Hunter

I love my Pre 64 Winchesters, the thought of anyone "working" on one or modifying it makes me want to fight!! LOL
I have a 300 HH, 2 30/06's, a 220 swift and a featherweight 270. All are mint. None of them will ever go hunting again. These are great guns BUT there is some real myth's out there about them. They are fine, very reliable, a bit heavy, they are not reknown for shooting groups. Old timers will tell you and I grew up with these guns, when stores only had Win. or Rem ammo, when Federal was a new unknown kid. Handloaders were local nuts. A factory Pre 64 Winny that grouped under 3 inches was a keeper, under 2 was incredible and near 1 inch was to die for. The new rifles are in general much more accurate and the machineing much better.
I have no beef with 2much having his opinion.

Bofire---thanks. My only remaining pre-64 M70 shoots sub-moa with 3 different bullet weights. Great rifles...Boy did I pizz off the troops, huh?! Since there are WAY too many responses to reply to....I'll let you guys have your opinions and I'll keep mine. A-bolts are NOT cheap, and Vanguards are NOT expensive. I feel they display opposite values accordingly. If anyone would like to tell me why they think their A-bolt or Tikka is just as good of a value as comparably priced rifles I'll listen to specifics.....Otherwise there ain't much of a point. By the way, to all of you, I DON'T ever, comment on guns I have no experience with, and am not a cut-and-paste plagiarizer either.......The two guns in the pics were used as examples from members of another site whom I talk to, and not mine, but real examples of what I know to be true, nonetheless. If I told you how many different factory specimens I've toyed with, or how many rifles come and go around here, you probably wouldn't believe me, and that's cool..........2MG

Grunter, now that was funny! My Browning was 880.$ in the store, ordered it from a cop w/ a firearms license for 700$. Most guns are above 500$T.20

Apparently apples and oranges are not his strong suit......nor rifle prices, as the Weatherby I mentioned costs no where near $1000 nor the A-bolt near $500. But I was gonna let that go....----2MG
