Had the opportunity to head down to Texas to film a hunt, and while I was there, I was unexpectedly given the chance to harvest a buffalo. Definitely a hunt I’ll never forget.

A high-fence ranch needed a promotional video, and I planned on just filming. They had a kid shoot a blackbuck and a bull buffalo, then they told me I could take a cow too.Gotta be more to the story than this, Jeremy.
Took it to a processor. The guide is coming up here to hunt and bring me the meat and head tomorrow. The bull was huge.
Actually there’s a little more to the story. Years ago, the ranch had bought some of Ted Turner’s bulls and cows to start their herd. They also had one problem bull that kept tearing up fences and causing issues with the herd, so they moved him to a separate pasture for this hunt.Gotta be more to the story than this, Jeremy.
Well, sometime before we got there, that bull broke through a fence looking to fight, and one of the Ted Turner breeder bulls ended up in that same pasture.
When we found a bull, we assumed it was the one they had moved over since it was supposed to be the only one there, so we shot it. After we left, the owner saw the bull they were actually planning for us to shoot and called saying, “Tell that kid he shot the bull of a lifetime.”
Turns out the one we shot was a $40,000 Ted Turner breeder bull.

That story is wild and the Bull was huge. The kid probably won't be able to top that hunt.

Jeremy can you give an estimate of how tall your Bull was in the hoof?
The one I shot ran about 30 yards after one shot. The bull the kid shot just stood there and ate 3 before going down. They jellied the internal organs with no pass-through.
Not really, I never stood close to one standing.

Did you find any intact bullets?
No, the organ and gut piles were huge, and we did not go digging around in them. The one I shot was pregnant, you could not even tell she was until we gutted her.
