optronics nightblaster bulb replacement

My son and I have optronics nightblaster scoplights, he has the 250 yard and I have the one for 100 yards.

Recently, we broke one of our 2,000,000 candle power handheld rechargeable lights when it rolled of the roof of my jeep at about 50 mph. We saved the battery thinking we could use it with out optronics scope lights. But,, after he charged it and attatched it he said his light wouldnt work.
So, being the good dad that I am, I tried it on mine and immediately noticed an extra bright light and blew the bulb within a second or two.
I am assuming we cant use this battery with our lights.

The problem is, I can not figure out how to get the old bulb out to take it to look for a replacement. It seems to be sealed as a unit.

Has anyone replaced the bulbs in these lights and have any tips on doing it?

Thanks
Bob

I have the 100 yard model like yours and all you do is unscrew the front part of the scope light and the bulb is inside the glass and on the back of the glass is a clip that you can take out and the bulb will come out and just unplug it. I'm not sure if the 250 yard model is the same. Here is the number to optronics(918 683-9514 or 1 800 364-5483) they will be able to help you plus you can order the bulb from them, the replcemnet bulb for the 100 yard light is $5 so i would think the 250 yard model will be just a couple of dollars more. It never hurts to have a spare bulb.

I broke the buld on me night blaster 350. Sounds as if the battery that you have is a 12V and the bulb that you had was a 6V. I went to auto zone and got a 12V 55W fog lap replace ment for it. Planing on just running the 12v battery now.But then went and bought a light force and haven't even picked up the Optroins since. The bulb that I bought was 5.00 and can get them at just about and auto store. Just a thought. If you put the 12 volt light in there and run the 6 volt battery, well it will be pretty dim.

Hope that this helps!

Looked at a new one in the store, it does coem apart and have a clip to access it, and the bulb unplugs. Tore mine apart last night again, it does not have a clip, and the wires are sodered on to the post. might have to take it soemwhere to fix it.
