Gentlemen, to all who have expresed concern on the safty issue of being in the woods w/other hunters, here are some points.
- most hunters are hunting fox at night. No one else is in the woods except us fox hunters. We are allowed to use lights. I would find it hard to belive if someone was calling, with a red light on, would not be safely identified.
- most hunters who hunt during the day are not out in the woods during the large game season. It gets too busy and the critters are not responsive to calls. The times of the year that predators are hunted during daytime is now, after all large game seasons are closed.
My point is most predator are only in the woods w/themselves. The # of predator hunters is in the minority. It is not like opening day of deer season where there are 500,000 hunters in the woods. Hell, in the years I have been hunting predators, I have only come across 1 other fellow hunter in the woods.
