The PEACE Act, also known as Initiative Petition 28, would outlaw hunting, fishing and a host of other things, including cattle ranching, according to critics. So far, backers of this measure have allegedly gathered about 105,000 of the required 117,173 valid signatures, which must be turned in by July 2. Here is an excerpt from the 10-page measure:​

(a) [The treatment of livestock being transported by owner or common carrier;]Situations of self-defense when it is necessary to defend against the threat of immediate harm to oneself, to other humans, or to other animals;
[(b) Animals involved in rodeos or similar exhibitions;]
[(c) Commercially grown poultry;]
[(d) Animals subject to good animal husbandry practices;]
[(e) The killing of livestock according to the provisions of ORS 603.065 (Slaughter methods);]
[(f)] (b) Animals subject to good veterinary practices as described in ORS 686.030 (Acts constituting practice of veterinary medicine)[;].
[(g) Lawful fishing, hunting and trapping activities;]
[(h) Wildlife management practices under color of law;]
[(i) Lawful scientific or agricultural research or teaching that involves the use of animals;]
[(j) Reasonable activities undertaken in connection with the control of vermin or pests; and]
[(k) Reasonable handling and training techniques.]”

As explained by Kevin Starrett at the Oregon Firearms Federation, everything in italics would be stricken from current law.

It is bascially stealth communism through the ballot initiative process from our gloablist elites and foreign enemies like the chinese communist party, world economic forum/davos crowd, and united nations to subvert the will of the people through the lens of sustainable development or protecting the environment or wildlife.

They work with local domestic activist communist organizations to get this kind of subversion on the ballot and they target democrat strongholds like Portland, Oregon or Denver, Colorado where the majority of voters are known to be useful-idiots for the cause, demoralized crooks and or just mentally weak low IQ voters. In my opinion.

If it doesn't pass this time, they'll keep trying. Never underestimate them as they are very well funded, coordinated and subversive.

Unfortunately even if it does pass most countries will not enforce that law. Nevada passed a goody law and most all County Sheriffs refused to enforce it

If a law was passed in you state that made it a crime to be in possession of more than 25 rounds of ammunition would you Fall in line and obey that law?
 
There has to be a time when we say enough is enough and take a stand. Even if it means JAIL TIME. When Churches were told to shut down during that covid hoax. My church refused to stop meeting together. The police showed up on Sunday morning to arrest our Pastor. The MEN in the congregations, not all of them, stood up and said if your going to arrest him you will have to arrest ALL of us. The police left and we never had an issue again.

Its time to take a STAND. Speak out. Be a MAN. I wear this hat everyday

If you go to their webpage, you’ll see the cause is being championed by a group of vegans. The front page of the website shows a group of them out in a field socializing with and petting cows.

Read the journalist Q/A page, their plan is so off the wall and full of incredibly ridiculous ideas it would be remarkable if it made it to ballot. Appeal to emotion, not to fact.

Got vermin? Their answer, live trap rats and mice and release them elsewhere, …brilliant! Overrun by a particular species no longer able to be hunted, give them contraceptives.

There will be no more beef, pork, chicken etc. for consumption for sustenance. What’s left alive will run free until extinct or until they overpopulate and are forced to birth control. Their “plan” for the economic fallout impact is nothing short of moronic.

…..and, I’ve got to question their choice of the model for their swag “T” shirt sales page. I’m not fully convinced she’s a vegan.

It's going to get to the point that you will just have to make the decision to be a poacher. It's getting ridiculous out there. We rely on hunting to provide food for our family. Following laws that ensure future generations have wildlife is one thing. Completely eliminating our ability to harvest for food is another.

Nevermind the issues we will have if wildlife is not managed. Of course they have a solution for that, sterilization. Uggh.

I wonder if it's a front group to appeal to the average suburban cat lady karens. I wouldn't be at all surprised if their getting money from some dark money.org NGO or something like that.
 
Eventually this law will pass. Then other states will follow. Sierra valley in Sierra County, California wolves are killing ranchers cattle and livestock owners can’t protect their livestock. Its a one year prison sentence Finally the locals are taking a stand. The County Sheriff said he will not arrest any livestock owner for protecting their livelihood and the County DA said she will not prosecute

It happening here like a lot of States now. Here in Oregon. You have 38 Counties, and you got 3 or 4 Counties that control the popular vote count on the whole State. Multnomah, Washington, Marion county here in Oregon. I really think it NOT going to pass, just like the total Plastics import Ban, or giving Pets same Rights as Humans .. but it like a Horse Race here in Oregon. You know it is rigged, Especially with 100% mail-in-Voting in OR, with Zero voter ID. but still ... you never know what/who going to win .
Oregon State Gov. , Salem is the Capitol City. But this is happening same way in a lot of other States Gov. capitol cities now also who try to insulate themselves and use another larger popular city, just like the OR. capitol City Gov. uses 'Portland' for economic sacrifice of all the political theater used in media propaganda. The majority of the State counties knows it a false perception that is being created, but you cant control anything that the larger few Counties want to politically manipulate over the entire whole State.

When my boys were told they couldn’t bow their head in silent pray at lunch at school because it wasn’t allowed and it could offend other students I politely told the Principal they can pray . If that makes me a lawbreaker then Im proud to say IM A LAWBREAKER. When my boys were in High school and the required Sex Education class included homosexuals talking about their lifestyle and how to put a condom on a banana I confronted the vice principal and told her I wanted my boys removed from the class as I didn’t want them hearing that trash. She told me it was a requirement. I politely told her to remove them from that class and Im not going to leave your office until you make the arrangements. They didn’t take the class. All this crap will stop when MEN stand up for themselves and protect there families

I lived in Gates, Oregon for two years. Gates and Mill City could care less what decisions were made in Salem. They were ignored.
 
Insane laws. In California You can be target shooting with standard lead core bullets but if a rodent hopes up on a rock 10’ away by law you have to be using a lead free bullet! Its like the no common sense law about using non lead shot while duck hunting. I understand when your on a marsh But according to the goofy law if your hunting ducks in a pasture or in a flyway where there isn’t any water for over a mile you still have to be using steel shot!!!! In Nevada i can be hunting quail and Chukar along a creek with lead, no problem but if a duck jumps up I have to have all steel shells with me. Thats totally looney. I have no problem with any law but when they’re this stupid??? A common sense law would read that anyone hunting with a shotgun within 500 yards of a creek, river, pond, or lake must use steel shot. If anyone is hunting waterfowl miles from any body of water steel shot should not be mandatory it doesn’t make any rational sense surely our lawmakers aren’t that incompetent. However mental instability with our Government has become the norm. Identify as a girl and you will be recognized as a girl. 50 years ago in our Country you would be in a mental institution
