i am thinking about getting a decoy dog and am not sure if the state of oregon allows the use of dogs on public land for coyote hunting any ideas the game book is not to clear on this.

I have talked to the local ODFW,and BLM, I was assured "legal to hunt yotes on public ground, year round, with or with out dogs".
Beleive me, I try to stay on top of this stuff!!! Duane

i thought that was the status, i talked with warden in bend and he was kind of iffy about it but thought it was ok, i figured enough guys on the forum might have done the research, i didn't want to get a dog and not be able to run hit

Washington made it "illegal to have a dog in your possesion will hunting coyotes" This law change was last year.
I don't know about other states.
Prk, I'll send "pm". Duane
