Original Trail XP50 outperforming my Trail 2 LRF XP50

I purchased the Pulsar Trail XP50 a couple of years ago and love it. Loved it so much I purchased the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 in November 2020 to go with it. But from the very start I did not think that the new Trail 2 was as clear as the original Trail XP50. My buddy and son looked through it and they felt the same way. The Trail 2 seems more "grainy". I returned the it to Pulsar for warranty work to have them look at it. They said that they compared it to the other scopes that the had there and concluded that my Trail 2 was perfectly fine. They even told me they compared it to an original Trail XP50 and it outperformed it. Has anyone else compared the two scopes? Maybe I just have a setting off but I have the scopes set exactly the same. I don't know what to do.

Kind of wondered about this myself as I have a newer LRF one. From side by side comparison on 1 video on YouTube they don't seem a whole lot different. Slight differences on background clarity. I would almost give the nod to the Trail 1 on the animal. Have read that some like their original better and some the other way. Waiting for my dealer friend to get stock to do my own comparison. Waiting for Pulsar's next improvement for the most part. My scopes held zero well with a minor tweak between summer and winter temps. but I half expected this given the nature of the design. Hope you get some feedback.

... As I wrote in the other post nearby ... They only changed the body ... (to keep the POI better) and the sensor updated with NETD
