To go PD hunting in OK do you need a out of state hunting license to shoot Pd's?
I am in Arkansas.

I know I dont need a ferral hog license on private land in Oklahoma unless it is deer,Elk,gun season.

You need a license to hunt in Oklahoma. A 5 day temporary lic. is around 40.00. I get the 92.00 one since I hunt year around up there on the family ranch

$42.50 for a 5 day small game license...

Not sure if it will work for yotes though?

Non-Res annual license $92.50
Non-Res 5 day license $42.50

Prarie dogs are not regulated by the Oklahoma Dept of Wildlife so the license will cover you while you are hunting.

Good luck!

I wonder why I dont need a license to hunt hogs in Oklahoma on Private property?

You would think it would be the same way for PD's since Pd's are not a game animal of any sort.

Slew and Varmint Slayer:

A non-res hunting license will cover coyotes, bob cats, beaver and most furred critters that you SHOOT. An additional trapping license is required to trap.

Even on private land, a hunting license is required for hogs or anything else.

If I can help you any more, e-mail me at: hills@ssd.fsi.com

thanks Hills! Family friends live up there and want us to try and thin out the yote population after duck season! Maybe we'll get up there some day and give it a try!

Varmint Slayer, I hope the game ranger you talked to is right, the ones I have talked to have told me that If I'm not hunting on land that I own, I need a hunting license. Just trying to help out. Good luck.

Slew, what part of the state are you coming to?

Hills, I believe what you are saying. I had emailed this Durant area Game Warden about 3-months ago, and that is what he responded with.
This was for private land only(with permission) and not during deer, elk, rifle season.

I will check with another warden.
