Grabbed an older call on eBay for cheap. Does anybody know what this thing is supposed to sound like? This one sounds like a party horn. Lol. I can probably produce a good Seagull sound with a little practice. Zero raspiness. It has a wedge holding the reed in place on the toneboard so I was going to play with extending the length of the reed that’s showing. Anyone familiar with this call? Was it designed to be a high pitched party horn call? Lol

Olt T-20, you can adjust it a little bit. Most sound raspy to me, and party horn seems like an accurate description.
Thanks for the input. I pulled the guts and positioned the wedge a little further forward. It sounds much better now. Has a little rasp to it. Maybe someone wanted it more as a coaxer or something? I get the idea of that but it kinda took a lot of air to get the reed moving and it was pretty loud. I didn’t play with it much as it wasn’t a sound I liked. Sounds like a cottontail now. It’s just going to be a decorative piece anyway. But who knows, I’ve grabbed the old stuff to play in the field a time or two before.

Not from experience with this call in particular but working with other pred call Reed's Id move the reed just a hair over the edge of the tone channel or right in line with it.

Yep… That’s what I did, as well as positioned the toneboard further out of the barrel just a hair.

I appreciate the input. Thanks.
