What do you fellow pa guys think about the regs about having to wear orange while hunting yotes? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It's not really a big deal to me beagler.

I wear the majority of the required orange on my back, and thats usually pasted up against a tree or something while on stand.

With a little "creativity", it's nothing that will effect your hunt, and you still remain legal.

I don't like any of it. Personally I don't like wearing any orange at all not ever. Too much govt. interference in too many parts of our life. I wear as little as I can get away with, or none at all.

Hodgen,
I think according to the regs it's 250square inches o /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif n the head,chest and back combined isn't it?

whats this thing about wearing orange while hunting yotes? the only thing i heard was that they might be changeing the regs on bowhunting and makeing you wear it for the whole early season.

You're correct beagler.

That's why the "majority" of my combined orange is on my back. The balance consists of a 1" strip around my chest, and a strip around my hat. Makes it 360 degrees visible then. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Coyote cammo..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

To the other guy who asked about orange.
Orange was required for hunting coyotes this year "during any deer season" 2 hours before sunrise to 2 hours after.

If the new reg passes....it will be anytime 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset.

evol55,the orange for coyote went into effect last deer season (2002-2003). This will be the second year for it (2003-2004 deer season) This is for ANY deer season also.

Yes, it is a lame a$$ law also in my eyes!

The only time i can see wearing it,is during the rifled deer seasons. 3 day rifled doe season for juniors and seniors in October, and 2 week rifled deer season of buck and doe combined. Since i dont hunt yotes during the 2 week season,it doesnt really effect me,if ya know what i mean.

Just one more rule to abide by, right. As if there aren't more than enough already. Not just with the hunting regs, but everywhere. Personally I believe in indivdual freedom, and my choice is not to look like a neon lightbulb when I am hunting. I managed to survive in the boonies with people intentionally trying to shoot me, and I believe I can survive hunting seasons without being forced to dress as someone else wants me to.
