PA HUNTERS

anyone in sw pa entered in the woodlands world hunt coming up this weekend. friday is the last day to enter with the hunt starting on saturday 03/10/07 and ending on 03/24/07.
 
I really think your havin the same problems as many of the north-eastern hunters are ... all you can do is try try and try agian ... don't give up ... Cuz it will be at the
stand where you gun is in your lap cuz you think nothing is goin to happen ... Then boom there he is and your not prepared ... hunting is hard these days it is not made for everyone ... if it was that easy everyone would be doing it ... keep your head held high ... and when that chance comes it make that 4 or 6 stands that you seen nothing all worth while ... I wish you the best of luck ... Kill them all let god sort them out

I heard alot of people say this was a slow year but in my area of cambria and blair county they seemed to be up and about alot. I called in 50+ grays, and we killed a total of 29 over my caller and 2 reds early in the year. I hunted alot usually atleast 2-4 nights a week. Most killed in one day was 4 and most called in in one night was 9. I have a buddy from potter area and I know he killed 28 grays. Seemed like they where slow in some parts and good in other this year. Not much luck with the coyotes called in 3 in one night and had a bunch of other. Hunting in potter with my buddy for mosquitto we caleld in a pack of 3 on that saturday.
 
I am in North Western Pa and just getting into calling, have trapped fox for years.

Does anyone have any luck during the day, would love to get some pictures sometime.
 
Well guys it was the same story for me in clearfield, lots of stands and no eyeys except for one night. I went to a spot right up the road from work. I had gone into town early and said the heck with it, i'll make a stand but didn't think i would see any thing so i wasn't on my toes.within one minute I could see eyes coming at me down the road about 80 yards away and i was so locked up on him that I wasn't ready for the one that came right up to my speaker 25 feet in front of me. He came into me from the side through the thick stuff, I didn't get a shot at either one of them, busted. So if any of you guys from the area want to get hooked up for a hunt next fall let me know. Always looking for a good partner for a hunt. Something else I have tried in the past and it does work at times. If you are hunting with a partner and are busted let one of you leave, go to vehichle, drive away for 15 min. Just stand there with just your light.I've had a couple come into the stand to check out what was there and have taken him. Give it a try , what you got to loose but 15 min. of your time.
