Painting foxpro speaker?

I just bought a new foxpro hellfire and I was wondering if it would affect the call if I camo painted the horn speaker or should I put a neoprene sleeve on it for the extra concealment?
Thanks guys!

It won't hurt it a bit. My sp60 is painted. They're painted from the factory. The neo sleeve might make it less sensitive to hitting brush and making noise on your walk in, if you carry it in hand.

paint inside, outside, under, over. makes no difference in the sound.

This should read, " paint inside, outside, under, over. makes no difference in how the predator reacts to the call once it sees it. Predators won't see an unpainted call as any more danger than one that is camo'ed. BUT hey, if you like to make the call harder for you to find when your ready to move, more power to ya.

Ditto...

I've had at least four or five different Foxpro's bit by coyotes. Some camo (factory), some not.

My CS-24's, I've used tan vet wrap around them for the cushioning so they are quieter when banging into a rifle stock or turkey seat on the walk in. Neoprene would probably work even better for that, but the vet wrap does work just fine.

What one of the CS-24's w/vet wrap looks like:

And a coyote getting right after a factory camo Fusion:

Camo or no camo on the caller makes absolutely no difference in my opinion.

well those last two pictures are of a camo'ed caller, that's the reason that coyote is trying to bite it, obviously. Now I want to go paint all my sound boxes.

noooooooooo. no paint. you want teeth marks all over the things? they say it hurts resell value. or increases it. do not remember now.

All my old units with that form factor did have teeth marks on them when I sold them. The 532, the FX-3, FX-5, Fury, all of them had clearly visible teeth marks on them. Didn't seem to have any effect on the value either way. About like the effect camo on them had on coyotes

You have a lot more patience than I do! They would have been shot long before the teeth marks showed up!
I like your idea of vet tape, I just used camo duct tape and camo face paint on the interior portion of the speaker.
