Palmetto State Armory

I was wondering how many people have done business with them. I placed a order with them on Black Friday for 5 lowers, and still have not received them. The web site says lowers MAY take 10 business days. Sent them a email and no response. Also I have no luck what so ever via phone... Just wondering what others have experienced with them....

I usually have awesome luck with them but I am in the same boat. I ordered a complete upper from them and it said it may take 10 buisness days and it's been over two weeks with no response from them. Even the tracking number they provided to me just says that there was a shipping label created at the ups store but nothing else. No updates no return emails...nada

Here's a thread over on the Carolina shooter's forum we sponsor as well that was posted in their sub-forum.

Problems getting in touch with Palmetto State Armory

Never heard anything bad about the company's products but as of recently they have had some poor communication and slowww turnaround time. Seems like they're biting off more than they can chew, IMO. They have had some great deals recently however...you may have to wait for it unfortunately.

ordered my lower on BF and received it today, emailed them a couple times to make sure my FFL guy got it sent over and they replied confirming then sent me and email saying product was shipped so all and all very please....I will say they told me they got hit hard with BF sales so maybe that has slowed them down.

Now I have a stripped lower waiting for me to build something....lol

I have ordered 7 lowers from them along with several other parts at different times in the last couple of years and they are great to do business with. My only complaint is they are a little slower on their shipping especially their lowers. I have never ordered on one of their extreme sales, but even on regular times they take at least a ten days before they ship. Their shipping notifications leave something to be desired. Lowers always take alot longer than parts orders for some reason. I would try to contact them and make sure they received your FFL, they are very tough to get a hold of right now, from what I read over on arfcom. You can go over there and check palmetto's forum under industry tab. FWIW, I just checked and last spring they took 3 weeks from order to delivery to my FFL. They are great to do business with, but you can't be in hurry with them, I do believe they have seen an exponential jump in business in the last couple of years, which is a good thing.

Hope this helps
Aaron

At risk of sounding like smart alec, which is not my intent, I would suggest trying to find $50 lowers any where else right now. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

I ordered their CMMG drop in .22 conversion Blued kit with 1 Black Dog Mag and Christie Products loader on Dec 2 and I got it on 13 Dec. Maybe their shipping out the small stuff first ??

Their lowers & other FFL items normally take ~7 days normally to ship based on what we've seen from local guys we did transfers for. Other items generally ship quicker.

Here is a brief summary of what I read off the PSA industry forum over on ARFCOM. Looks like they got hammered, I know it is not much help to you now, but looks like they are attempting to address the problems.

From ARFCOM:

"I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for the overwhelming response to our Christmas sale.

We are aware that there has been a major communication problem during the holiday season. Our order volume has been up 1200% over last years sales for the same period. We never could have predicted this and were caught totally off guard.

On the monday after Black Friday we began receiving around 1,000 e-mails per day requesting the status of the customers order. We currently have the capacity to answer about 600 e-mails per day and be able to answer the phones. The avalanche of e-mails began to snowball and we were in a position where it was physically imposible to respond to all of the e-mails. We brought some new people on to assist, but it was difficult to train employees in the middle of the chaos.

We were caught off guard by the sheer staggering amount of e-mails and phone calls.

There are three solutions being put in place. The first solution is to order a phone system that is able to handle the call volume. The second solution is to establish a way to track the progress of the customers order by logging into our web site. The third solution is to give the customer an option to select an FFL on the web site.

All three of these plans are being put into motion as we speak. We have been working on a new web site with an AR Upper Builder, LPK builder etc. The web site will be up in a few weeks and we will intergrate the order tracking feature and FFL selection feature in the new web site. I believe that this should alleviate the overwhelming e-mails.

We want to thank everyone for the orders.

Jamin"

Just saw this as well.

It looks like they are making effort to correct the problem. It would be nice if they do not charge credit card until merchandise is shipped. That would help alleviate "anxiety attacks" for some customers...

I had purchased some ammo and reloading components from PSA and while they were no where as fast as Joebob they were not that bad either. Only one time where they had a special offer for 6.8spc upper order did they fail to ship within couple of weeks. But then their upper was fantastic and at a price no one else could beat, so, I was a happy customer.

I've had very good luck with them. I built a gun for a co-worker with mostly their parts. I was very pleased with quality, shipping, everything. So much so, I bought two more lowers for myself, and sold two more of them for friends (FFL). Two brothers own the business I believe, I spoke to one a few times. Nice guy. Their lowers are top notch. Like has been mentioned, with $50 lowers, it is understandable why they are behind. Please don't complain too much, I'd like to see another $50 lower sale in the future! Good luck, but I think you will be fine and happy when it all gets here.

Ugggghhhhhh.....still no upper...I understand that they got slammed but geesh! I am getting ansy as this build is for my state trooper brother in law and I want to make a good impression!

Not looking good but I've got my fingers crossed!!

O yeh those guys at PSA are awesome i go down to there place once every couple of months i live about 2hr away and there not one time i been there and that place was not BOOOOMMING [beeep] the guys that work there have to eat why helping customers, Its was so funny the first time we went down there we meet the owner and he was so excited about there new line lowers and showing us the HUGE warehouse in the process he cut him self pretty bad on something a my wife being a nurse pointed it out that he was bleeding everywhere and the poor guy was so dedicated to making us feel at home there once he figured out how far we drove he never noticed it,we do a lot of custom polishing on parts{tactacool stuff} here on ar's and at one of our visits i took my personal tricked out RocRriver
and he showed use there new uppers there were fixing to start selling and while holding and looking at it first hand this guy thrives for perfection and don't let this little "Hecupp" freak you all up they will make it correct, you guys that never been down to Columbia to PSA need to go check out the store and see for you self if you can its worth it. WARNING ONLY TAKE THE AMOUNT OF CASH U INTEND TO SPEND',LOL because i went over budget.
