After some reading on the subject We found thet there were issues due to the double stack magazine design so we hocked them. I didnt say that I never had a problem with other 1911s in my collection just none this persistant. I have had another Para in the past but it was a single stack "gun rights" model. It shot very well I just didnt care for the huge "gun rights" lasered on the slide so I sold it. I am not bad mouthing Para as a company I'm only telling my personal experience with the Para Warthog which in MY opinion is junk. Take it or leave it.

The issues I had with both of mine sound almost the same as yours. My issue was a complete return to battery. The slide was held up about a 1/4 inch from fully closed. Turns out I had some brass head stamped "Americ" this brass was thicker around the mouth than anything else I had. That combined with the tight chamber Para uses was jamming the guns. I had the same problem on both the P-13 and P-14. When I sorted out all of that junk brass things got alot better and havnt had the problem since. They both run like a charm with both cast and jacketed bullets, round nose, flat points, wad cutters etc.. makes no difference.
