ours were permitted a location somewhere downtown today & our sheriff made it clear that so long as they stay peaceful it's fine but his deputies are not going to tolerate any criminality & it will go badly for any offenders
In Utah, an antifa guy pulled out an AR & got stopped by 2 citizens working security for the no kings rally.
I'd think that antifa would be supportive of the no kings goobs but apparently he was about to commit a mass shooting there
they weren't cops, just 2 guys with CCW's
They killed a bystander though
not good. That got the AR guy charged with murder -likely under a felony murder law- but unkown if the guy who fired the shot will be charged or not
From the comments: "This is why you don't go stupid places and do stupid things with stupid people."
I remember that riot on the news. Personally I'm a man of peace. However, when it comes to violence, arson, looting & anarchy. A loud speaker warning should occur to cease, desist & disperse immediately. However, If they don't. Then open up on them. No prisoners.OK dating myself here anyone remember the Democrat's (Mayor Charles Daley) answer to mostly peaceful protest in 1968 DNC Rally? I most certainly do Police openly used batons. Police dogs was actively released. NG was called in with fixed bayonets (of course sheathed) but the message was clear.
And the peaceful protest in May of 1970 in Augusta (note Augusta is in two states thus the GA and SC NG was used. Mayor's on both side of the state line was Democrats. Only In 1996 is when the cites of Augusta and North Augusta was consolidated).
What I find confusing about this one is the tales (lies) told now on the internet.
No Virginia, the rioters didn't burn down but a few "white" business's, all (99.9%) was either Chinese or Black owned business's as well as apartment's (North Augusta SC, yes Virginia the Democrat Mayor of N. Augusta kept the Fire Dept spraying down the White side of town letting the Rioters home burn) . The Ga NG pushed the Rioters back across the state line into the S.C. side. If you really seek the truth on that one ask someone whom lived there during that time.
These are just two examples of what I recall but every "mostly peaceful" protest that I do recall during the Late 1960's to 1970's had the same theme Democrat leadership, use of NG, outnumbered Police whom had a breaking point. Sorry but this thread just took me down memory lane, not attempting any political statements, or if the protest was just or not . Just stating the facts as I recall them.
And pass it on to those that actually follow the law…"inside looting, they should be fair game!" Legal consequences! Even banks no longer have armed guards inside. Most stores don't even try to stop shoplifters due to legal problems. Just write off the loss.
