you can not hunt groundhogs until 12 during the turkey season, contrary to what lungbuster said. I use a .223 for groundhogs. So far this year i have missed, 5 ground hogs. Four of them over 225 yards, the farthest being 350 yards. Allentown is only about 20 minutes from my house, good luck finding farms to hunt, most of the land is private property only.
