Permission to hunt land

I just introduce myself offer a handshake and ask to permission to hunt coyotes and fox this winter. I will explain briefly when and how. If I am not sure what exactly they own I will ask. I always thank them for there time whether its a yes or no. The only time I have been turned down is if they have a family memeber that also hunts them.

I'll kindly introduce myself. Then I'll ask if they have anything to eat. After siting down at the table to join them for supper I ask if they have any single daughters. Getting permission to call coyotes is a breez /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Seriuosley now. Introduce myself. Tell'em where I'm from. Ask if I can call coyotes and am VERY specific about how many of us there will be (2) and when we intend to hunt. Then I'll ask if they've heard or seen any coyotes in the recent past. I dont realy care what the answer is though cause I already know the area is frequented by coyotes or I wont waste my time. It's just nice to make conversation. You'd be suprised to know how many landowners dont know they have coyotes.

I have gotten permision to hunt 3 different farms south of the cities this winter from people that come into my building to do different work( fire inspections-federal housing inspections-alarm inspections) and as Pill said you would be suprised how many people dont know they have yotes on their land!!!!
