I was asked to let you guys know when the article in Petersen's Hunting with the tribute to Will came out. It is in the February issue and is hitting news stands now. The title of the article is Desert Dogs. You might also notice a mention in there of some guy named Jay Nistetter.

I read that article last week. Did AZwill start this site? Please explain. It appears this was a guy very involved in the site. It also appears he was a Predator Hunter's hero!!! Thanks, I would be interested in learning about him. Was he a writer?

Critr Gitr;
Is that the article that is in Trapper and Predator Caller this month? I've been looking for the magazine and haven't been able to find it.

It is a nice tribute to Will and excellent background on the site. I would encourage everyone to write to the Editor and let him know you appreciate it. I can tell you, most letters to the Editor are negative as most people only write when they are ticked off about something. Some positive mail can have a great effect on coverage regarding the site and the sport of predator hunting.

I haven't seen the Petersens article but the T&PC article has a different title and author. That makes me think they are not the same.

Thank you Thank you Thank you. It kind of makes me feel apart of something cool. Actually sounds like that was Will's dream. I will look for you some more. I intend on being here often. I am a regular at hunting.net but no one ever wants to talk about predator hunting there. I never knew this place existed. Anyway Thanks again, happy hunitng, and adios!

Jack;
I see now my last post was confusing. To clarify. Critr Gitr posted a link to an article on the web about Will and the Predator Masters forum. I was asking if that was the same article that ran in T&PH. The Petersen's Hunting article is one I wrote and is a general coyote hunting piece on Southwestern coyotes. I mentioned Will and Jay in the article and some tips they gave me on the old Posse board. By the way, I was also going to write about using the ladder and mention Michael McCasland, but the Editor and I discussed it and had some concerns about the safety aspects. Anyway, Will passed away just as the article was going to press and the Editor let me add an Author's Note to pay a short tribute to Will. Sorry for the confusion.I didn't mention in my earlier posts that I had written the Petersen's article because, frankly, I didn't want to appear to be promoting my work. I just promised Tasha and others that I would let the board know when the article came out.

Dan, it is my understanding that is the article. I haven't seen the actual magazine. Paul Wait, the author, was at the Globe hunt, and donated hats, knives, etc., for the raffle. I think you clarified everything else.

VHM asked me to do a short bit about the hunt, which I have written. We were too late to make the deadline for the Jan issue. Hopefully in the next (Apr) issue.?

Dan Johnson - I was wondering when that article would be comming out. I thought that the ladder safety issue might scare your publisher away. Can't say that I'm not alittle disapointed, but it was a nice try. though.

Michael;
I was dissapointed as well. If I had had the space to really go over all the safety procedures in depth and include about a two paragraph liability disclaimer, I might could have gotten it through. But space is something the magazines are not alloting much of these days. You may recall, I was originally going to send that article to Predator Xtreme, but they have cut their word count to 1200. Petersen's allows a little more, but not much, not for varmint hunting articles anyway. I was pleased though that the Editor gave up some space for the tribute to Will.
