I hope that this works, I’ve been using Moment of Fame (photo hosting) for a long time, it is free and easy to use.
The photo is of the transmitter and sound source for my electronic caller project. Back in the late 60’s I had a lot of fun making callers up for the other members of my CVCA chapter out of flee-market “4 Track” car stereos and motorcycle batteries. Things have changed a lot over the years and I thought I’d put together a “modern” version of my homemade caller. I have tested the transmitter to the receiver out to 100 yards and it works perfect, I think that it should be good out to about 200-250 or so. The RCA digital voice recorder works real well, I can load sounds from my tape player, CD, computer, and directly for my own mouth blown calls. Quality of sound and volume are much more than good enough for varmint calling.
In case this doesn’t work here is a link to the photo: http://www.momentoffame.com/snapshots/MomentOfFame/l13495.jpg
The 7-watt amp that I am using has more than enough power for good volume and is free of noise and distortion up to full volume. This is a photo of the 7-watt amp together with the box I’ll use to put it in for protection.

The Nady receiver uses 12 vdc as does the 7-watt amp so I can power both units with one 12 volt, 5 amp-hour rechargeable gel cell, here is a photo of these units.

I’m still torn between using the 8-watt or the 25-watt Radio Shack speaker, the 8-watt sounds better but the 25-watt seems to produce more volume, here is a photo.

Finally, I am going to put everything into a Pelican case, that is totally watertight and mounting the speaker on to the top opposite the gel cell to balance out the unit.

I will post photos of the completed project in a week or so, till then… good hunting!
