I decided on giving the bergara b-14 HMR IN 6.5 creed a try, I got the scheels exclusive model with the 24" barrel and the gray/black stock. So far I am very impressed with this thing, nice stock, smooth bolt, and the out of the box trigger breaks like glass at 2 1/2 lbs. I can't wait to get the glass mounted and take it for a test drive. For 900 bucks i don't think you can go wrong

Sounds great with that color of stock and with the longer 24 inch barrel. I’m not for sure if you can put aftermarket 700 triggers in the Bergara, but it would be sweet if you could get the pull down in the one pound range. We got to go to the Scheels store in Billings MT. this fall on vacation. I never been in that nice of a store before. Had full size mounts every where, that place even had a full size Ferris Wheel inside that big store. Most guns you could pull off the racks and handle them. Just about every type of gun and glass from low to high end. My wife said my eyes got big like a kid in a toy store, Lol!

I recently picked up the Cabelas model with the 24" barrel in 6.5 Creed. It has the brown/black speck stock. Like was said smooth bolt, decent stock and a nice trigger. I spoke with both Bergara techs and the guys from triggertech and was told by both any aftermarket 700 triggers will work. The guy from Bergara also told me any stock that is inletted for the 700 will also fit.

Still up in the air in what scope to run may give an Athlon a try if the FFP versions go on sale, and I am waiting for my muzzle brake to arrive. So its a work in progress. Ill keep you posted on how it all shakes out.

Thanks for the info on interchange with the Rem 700 triggers and stocks. I was hoping this would be the case.

I purchased a Bergara B-14 Hunter in .308 about two years ago. It has the green composite stock and an action smooth as a baby's bottom. It is free floated and has a Timney trigger from the factory. It's a real shooter too with TSX handloads. You will fall in love with that one I predict. The rifle comes with a guarantee of 1 moa groups with quality ammo.

Since I picked this one up I have also been eyeballing the Bergara ridge. Hard to believe the Barbara's are still flying under the radar.IMO they are one of the better values for all that you get that won"t require a whole heck of a lot to get them consistent and dependable.

I am not a rifle expert by any means but in my 48 years I have owned, shot, and currently own some very nice rifles, so far my opinion of bergara is look out Remington, savage, ruger, and several others, here comes Bergara.

I have the hmr 6.5 creedmoor with brown stock and 22” barrel. It shoots great. Now for a calling rifle if the approach came in 22 creedmoor I would seriously consider it over a custom gun. I love the stock on that gun which it’s a Grayboe stock and I like the feel of it. If they made it in 22 creedmoor and 280ai or 7 rem mag in lefty I think them two rifles would be good for all hunting needs.

Yes Sir.

My rifle did not come with a base, I used a egw 20 moa base and warne maxima low rings, I have used those rings for several rifles and I really like them

Congrats, great rifle. I have one with the 22" barrel and it is THE best shooting gun I have ever shot. Mine is 6.5 CM and I have shot several 5 shot 100 yard groups less than 1" (and I"m not a great shot!). It is my favorite rifle. You will like yours.
