Pistol Choice

+1 buy one that fits you best.
If you like the feel of the Glocks I would recommend if you can find one try a Steyr M series.

Theres nothing that feels more uncomfortable than a Glock. But you sure cant argue with the results they give. I work for the Sheriff's Dept out here and the model 22 is what we carry, it's a 40 short & weak. We shoot tons of practice ammo! and they are just a really reliable and accurate pistol. A Kimber would look better in my hands though !

Just a quick thought, I've seen at least 2 mentions of worries of "squeezing to fire", I'm assuming they mean the grip safety of the 1911 style. There is a very easy fix to that, it is pretty simple to pin the grip safety so it is permanently off. Most guys do it to their race guns, since rattling off 10+ rounds in a couple seconds tends to have the shooter with enough other things to worry about. Good conversation fellas, lots of good info. There are many options of good, reliable shooting guns out there. Research the ones that are good and then find what feels right for you, that's all there is to it. If the Glock feels good in your hands, do it. There aren't many who have ever had a Glock malfunction!
