Pixel pitch 10 µm with Infiray HCH50R !

Dear American night hunter friends, you are always one step ahead... You have the first thermal riflescope in the world that has a sensor with a pixel pitch of 10 µm: Infiray Compact Hybrid HCH50R : 640x480@10µm (!!) ; F50/0.9; Frame rate = 60Hz; mag = 3.5X; Netd<15mK; AFOV(Angular Field of View)= 7.3°x5.5°; HFOV(Horizontal Field of View)@100y=12.8y; VFOV(Vertical Field of View)@100y=9.6y; LPD(Linear Pixel Density)@100y=50 pixel/y; SPD(Surface Pixel Density)@100y=2500 pixel/y^2; RP(Resolving Power)@100y=0.72 inch/pixel; IFOV (Instant Field of View) = 0.2 mrad/pixel; Spatial CUT-OFF 2.5 cycles/mrad. Practically, with a 10 µm sensor and a 50 mm focal length lens it is like having a 12 µm sensor and a 60 mm focal length lens. So we have a much more "compact", lighter and less expensive device because the 50 mm lens costs less than the 60 mm one. What do you think guys?

FOV is pretty tight.
That's a good point, alf! I noticed it right away, too. The FOV is excessively narrow. So it might be a thermal device suitable only for long-range shots, from a tower stand in open fields, and certainly not for short shots in small clearings in the woods, among vineyards, or among orchards.
