plated VS. unplated Buckshot

They are good shooting guns from what I've seen. My buddy just got one and has killed two deer with it. One was a doe killed at 61 yds measured with a range finder and the second was a small buck shot further than that. Using a xx full Remington choke shooting 3 1/2" OO buck.
 
I have found that unplated draws more hair into the body cavity as compared to plated...never seen a difference in pattern though grouping wise maybe a pellet or 2...better blood trail with plated and they bleed out faster due to open wound as compared to unplated pulling hair into the wound and helping the clotting factor.

That's an incredible, incredible pattern.

I'd submit your buckshot being plated or non-plated isn't the issue...
 
I do a lot of hunting with a shotgun. Plateing does help with peneration & will help with pattering if under plateing is hard shot not chilled. Just FYI every pattern is different and will have holes some where within the pattern or some time [beeep] just happens for the good & bad thats why we some times get that hero shot also. FYI thats why when premium shells out perform the cheap shells. When the money is on the line you won't see a cheap shell at the Grand American Trap shoot...
