What's the word on the Plum Crazy Lowers ,, working on a deal and rifle has a Plum Crazy lower on it ,,, never seen or handled one ..Are they any good ?

There are several threads about Plum Crazy lowers and plastic lowers in general in this section. You want want to try to wade through them before the plastic lower love/ hate explosion starts here below me.

They're made with polymer material, but you probably already know that. They function just fine as an AR lower.

At this point if you've found an AR15, ANY AR15, at a reasonable price, BUY IT and consider yourself being in the right place at the right time.

any ideas in general how much lighter or weight is saved with most polymer lowers are verses metal lowers? just the lower portion? thx in advance.

I have a Plum Crazy lower and run about 500 to 600 round with it an not a problem. It is a very light rifle.

I have a Plum Crazy with a DPMS upper with a pencil barrel. It is a nice light AR. I did put a Rock River National Match trigger in it. I did not like the plastic trigger group. I changed the pins out also.

That's the same setup I have, except for the pins. I still have the original pins.
